Terms of Service

The service

Barrenfold is a free browser game made and run by Dondich Creative, LLC, in the United States. It is young and still being built. Rules, numbers, and features will change. In rare cases we may need to reset or adjust game state to fix a serious bug or exploit. We will say so when we do.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 years old to play.
• One person, one account. Extra accounts made to farm Marks, scout rivals, or dodge a suspension may all be removed.
• You are responsible for what happens under your key. Keep your password to yourself.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That is permanent.

Conduct

Betrayal, spying, and broken oaths are part of the game. These are not:

• Harassing other players, in names or anywhere else.
• Offensive or hateful names for accounts, Wardens, or Folds. Names appear on public pages, so we hold them to a public standard.
• Cheating: bots, automation, exploiting bugs instead of reporting them, or interfering with the service.

We may rename offensive names, remove content, or suspend accounts that cross these lines. For serious or repeated harm we may ban an account outright.

Marks and things bought

Marks are a game currency. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed, sold, or traded outside the game, and may be adjusted if a bug or exploit minted them wrongly. Everything sold in Barrenfold is appearance only and never affects play. If we ever discontinue the service, Marks and appearances end with it.

Your words and names

You own the names and words you bring. By putting them in the game you let us show them where the game needs them: on the Roll, in Chronicles, on public watch pages, and in link previews. Game history is a shared record. Events naming your Warden may remain part of other players' seasons even after you delete your account, though your account itself is gone.

No warranty

Barrenfold is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will always be available, free of bugs, or that seasons will never be interrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Dondich Creative, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months, which for most players is nothing.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the game grows. We will post changes here with a new date, and continuing to play after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada and the United States. Questions go to [email protected].
